Nathaniel (Nate) Richards is President and Founder of Entrance Software. Richards received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Economics at Rice University and remains an active alumnus through his involvement with Rice Engineering Alumni and the Rice Business Network, and serving on the Young Alumni and Alumni College Committees.
Richards is a member of Entrepreneurs' Organization. He recently wrote an article titled "Show Me The Metrics" featured in the EO Magazine. Richards also serves on the Advisory board of Houston Achievement Place, a local charity. In addition to his work with HAP, Richards is involved with several other charitable organizations, including the Mission Training Center and Houston Beagle and Hound Rescue.
With over 8 years of professional software development experience beginning as a FoxPro/Visual Basic developer with Leisure Host, Inc., Richards has developed a wide breadth of experience with various technologies and languages and a uniquely broad technical skill set, including C++, Visual Basic, Java, Perl, and C#, among others. Over the years, Richards has also worked with many different databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, Access, MySQL, MSDE, msql, Sybase, and Unidata/Informix. Richards has worked for both large and small companies, including public corporations such as Spinnaker Exploration and Reliant Energy as well as small software companies (Advanced Reality and Scalable Software).
