HWW-Tools-Platforms

Modern platforms support your next stage of growth.

Solving Business Problems

Software platforms are springboards that can be used to accelerate technological innovation for your company. But there are so many choices out there! Let a partner like Entrance, who has tried most of them out, help you make the right one.

We leverage the benefits of software platforms for clients like you in order to solve the most complex aspects of business problems. A myriad of solutions can be created on top of baseline functionality, and by working with the highest standard of platforms, we provide you with the highest standard of solutions to tasks that were previously performed in lower-tech ways.

We’ve noted some of our platforms below. If you are unsure what platforms are needed to achieve your goals, never fear, we cover platforms in the Envision phase of any consulting project:

SharePoint

Web application platform mostly used for enterprise-level content and document management. SharePoint is a multi-purpose tool designed to cater to the web requirements of most organizations. It also provides a Microsoft-Office interface, and is heavily integrated with the Office suite of tools. The SharePoint platform integrates directly into Internet Information Services (IIS) – enabling bulk management, scaling, and provisioning of servers, as is often required by large organizations or cloud hosting providers.

Microsoft Web Environments and Desktop Applications

Entrance is a Microsoft Certified partner and is adept at creating Microsoft-based software solutions in both Microsoft’s web and desktop application environments.

Tableau

Tableau combines advances in computer graphics and database query to change the way you see and understand data. The five core design principles of Tableau’s visual analysis products are: Easy User Interfaces, Easy Data Exploration, Expressiveness, Visualization Best Practices and Database Independence. All of these principles are embodied in or enabled by Tableau’s VizQL

SQL Server

SQL Server is a relational database management system. As a database, it is a software product whose primary function is to store and retrieve data as requested by other software applications, be it those on the same computer or those running on another computer across a network (including the Internet). There are at least a dozen different editions of Microsoft SQL Server aimed at different audiences and for different workloads.

Internet Information Services (IIS)

Internet Information Services is a web server application and a set of features for Microsoft Windows. Supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS, SMTP, NNTP, it’s an integral part of the Windows Server family products as well as XP, Vista or 7. This is the most popular server in the world, responding to 12% of total requests. Features: Anonymous authentication, Basic access authentication, Digest access authentication, Integrated Windows Authentication, UNC authentication, .NET Passport Authentication

K2

It’s a workflow or Business Process Management (BPM) provider. This simple platform was built to provide contract approvals, inventory control, capital expenditure approvals, case management, procurement, product quality control, vacation requests, and HR onboarding.

Azure Cloud Computing

Azure is a cloud computing platform used to build, host and scale web applications through Microsoft data centers. The platform consists of various on-demand services hosted in Microsoft data centers and commoditized through three product brands: Windows Azure, SQL Azure, and Windows Azure AppFabric.
