Chad Modad

Director of Consulting

As I join Entrance, I look forward to coming back to consulting, where the custom software firm has clients from diverse and fascinating industries. From the beginning of my career I’ve always been in a position to be client-facing, which means that my position has always been somewhere between internal and external consulting.  For the majority of my seven years at The Boeing Company, my most recent employer, I spent my time as an enterprise-level software advisor as well as a consultant to our customers from the four branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.  Going forward at Entrance, I am looking forward to extensive client interaction, delving into and understanding business problems at the heart of our work, and delivering solutions with business value and impact.

Education

In terms of simple background on myself, I graduated from the University of Houston, with a degree in Computer Science and minor in Math. I also have an MBA from Rice University’s Jones School of Business. I have worked in government – manned spaceflight as well as defense, petrochemical, university research, computer manufacturing, telecommunications, and in Defense.  In my free time I’m an avid soccer player and runner, and am on the board of the Foster family YMCA. I also am a mentor within the FIRST Robotics organization – not only mentoring high school students designing and programming competitive robots, but also working with elementary students on FIRST lego-league robots for the younger version of FIRST’s education outreach.
